I'm used to living alone. But this place does feel empty at times.

[ pausing to count on her fingers. barry, wally, nora, jesse, thawne, zolomon, savitar, jay. she'd even count eliza, though her speed was artificial. ] Nine? Nine speedsters. Four of them were evil, though.
[ Tommy whistles, and it takes a carefully practiced nonchalance to perfectly mask the fact that he very suddenly doesn't feel particularly special. It's the same reason he doesn't join the speedster's union. It's kind of pathetic, so he swallows the feeling right down with the rest of his mixed drink. Quick. ]
That's a lot of speedsters.

Explaining that he only knows three other speedsters where he's from, one of them being his uncle, but he also knows they're not super uncommon powers-wise. Wondering about her speedsters; Did she ever hook up with any of them? Does he need to be worried about showing off? Can any of them do what he can do? He says none of that. ]
[ she didn't mean for her count of speedsters to unnerve him or make him feel lesser. caitlin watches him, trying to gauge his reaction. she feels the need to further explain. ] If it helps, I think if I didn't know Barry, I wouldn't know any of the speedsters I've met. Three of them are from other Earths, three are from the future, and one only got her speed from a drug she was addicted to.
[ she'll just leave out the fact that she was the one who created velocity-6, and that eliza only got her hands on it by recreating her formula from a few ingredients she mentioned. there'd been no reasoning with her in the end, which is awful. she'd been a good scientist.

[ Well that's a fucking relief. Not that he doesn't think he can definitely one up most speedsters in the hook up department, but at least that's not going to be on his mind anymore.
