( she's about had her fill of city bullshit for the time being. blue has been good about biting her tongue, and keeping her head down, and finding ways to live in a society that makes her sick — but it's getting awfully hard. ) There's a place that does alright pizza nearby.
[ Honestly, Blue's lack of pep is refreshing. One thing he's tired of above all else is the majority of this city constantly acting like the "everything is fine" dog meme when shit goes south. Being around someone who looks about as done as he is, that's what he wants. Not being tip-toed around and coddled by hot multiverse grandpa--though sure, being held at night while he was feeling his most fragile was pretty great, but that's besides the point.
There are so many different cans of weird open right now that he's not even sure he can be fucked to be concerned about all of them at once. One social disaster at a time. ]
I mean it's alright, but they totally missed the mark on the oil to cheese to tomato ratio. Pretty good on the garlic, though.

for now though, she just nudges her elbow against tommy's arm lightly as they walk, with a vague attempt at not frowning quite so hard that's semi-successful at best. )

[ Tommy could talk about pizza for a while. He fills the air with questions about how terrible, anecdotes and opinions of his own, because it's easier to ramble about something he has strong but ultimately unimportant opinions about than to sit with, well, everything. He's grasping at straws, because all the spoons are actually knives, and he's grabbed enough of them already to be sore all over. So when Blue brings him back down to what's actually going on in their lives, it takes him somewhat by surprise.
If he had to rationalize it, maybe his reaction time is slowed by how bone-tired he is, from everything. Maybe.
He blinks owlishly at her for just a second, before he just shrugs, the corner of his lip curling up into a half-hearted but honestly grateful attempt at a smile. ]
I mean, I wasn't going to worry about it anyway. I guess I was just going to try and make it work, or get in more trouble trying.
